On April 6, 2008, the Breezewood Volunteer Fire Department will hold a dedication ceremony naming our fire station after our late Fire Chief, James A. Crotty Jr. As a 2008 fundraising project, we will be selling the above challenge coins for $7.00 each to help raise funds to maintain our station with up-to-date equipment and provide our members with the fire and medical education needed to provide the best service possible to Breezewood Acres.
Challenge coins are a great gift idea to give to friends and relatives and to show support in our local fire department. If you are interested in purchasing a challenge coin, please contact Jerry Lebeduik, (Glen 3-368) (utgleb@rcn.com) or Donna Lebeduik (dnurse@rcn.com) or at (610) 866-3892, for further information. Thank you in advance for your support of our fire department.

I respectfully request BACA to consider a Veterans Memorial site within the entrance way near the office or where the green space island separates the entrance and exit of the community. I have talked with a number of owners that are in favor of the idea. If the project is considered, I would proudly volunteer to serve on the committee to raise funds and promote it in a positive way.
I believe this would be a worthwhile addition to BACA environment since it does have a considerable amount of veterans within the community. I believe a stone memorial would show strength and unity with a simple engraving of:
“Breezewood Acres Veterans Memorial”
“Dedicated to all Veterans of the Uniformed Services”
Or
“Dedicated to all Veterans of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine and National Guard and Reserve”
I feel that doing it this way all BACA residents, past and present and BACA staff that have served our country are honored. Hopefully, residents will recognize that Memorial Day and Veterans Day is to give thanks to those that served and gave the supreme sacrifice. A small ceremony on these holidays can be arranged as an activity also.
I regret not being at todays meeting because of a work conflict and will accept any constructive candor on this worthwhile matter.
Respectfully submitted,
Jerry Lebeduik
