Cats
Our employees are working on trapping the feral cats to have them taken in to a catch and release program located in Scranton. Apparently, the feral cat issue is a statewide problem. Several cats have been taken home by staff and property owners.
With that being said, the catch and release program charges $35.00 per cat. If you would like to sponsor a cat, please contact the office. We will continue to seek other programs to assist with this issue.
As a reminder, Pennsylvania does have a Cruelty to Animals Law which carries fines and possible jail time with regard to animal abuse, i.e. poisoning, deliberate harm, etc.

I think it is important to share with our property owners, the BIGGEST issue we have, that continues to hurt all of us and puts us in a bad financial position, is that the number of dues paying property owners continues to decrease and expenses continue to increase.

In 2019, the BOD discussed this matter at the General Membership Meeting, but apparently nothing has changed.

The number of billable lots (Property Owners) went from 935 in 2018 to 915 in 2019.  This was a warning that we need to address the number of properties covered under 1 set of dues.

This year we have 725 paid property owners plus 30 have made some type of payment.

This will be a PRIORITY in 2022 to find a solution.

CRITERIA FOR TREE REMOVAL REQUIRING A PERMIT

A reasonable amount of trees must remain to ensure the campsite atmosphere.

All permits are issued on a case to case basis and based on the above criteria and reasonability.
Any denied permits may be brought before the Campsite Control Committee for further review.
